Our team of GDC‑registered professional technicians brings decades of expertise to a wide range of dental lab work. From designing complex full-arch cases to delicate aesthetic work in ceramics, we apply skill and attention to detail to ensure each restoration exceeds expectations.
Strict quality assurance
You can be confident that every restoration you receive has undergone meticulous inspection at multiple stages of production. We monitor fit, finish, and material quality, so that the final product not only functions flawlessly but also looks natural and complements each patient’s smile.
Certified and compliant
We are compliant to the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency) with our medical device registration. It is not a tick box exercise but a critical stage in our compliance. We are proud to hold DAMAS and British Bite Mark certifications, both of which set rigorous standards for safety and quality. These accreditations demonstrate our ongoing commitment to regulatory compliance, consistent standards, and giving dentists and patients who are relying on us for restorations peace of mind.
Intraoral scanners: where the digital partnership starts
Our digital workflow begins with the use of intraoral scanners, which capture highly accurate impressions quickly and comfortably.
An intraoral scanner projects a light source onto the oral surfaces, and sensors measure the reflections to generate a precise digital map. These captured data points are then stitched together in real time to form an accurate 3D model, which can be used directly for designing restorations in CAD software.
This technology allows us to receive precise 3D models of patients’ teeth, reducing many of the errors associated with traditional impressions.
At GoDigital, we are able to connect with a range of intraoral scanners, including:
- 3Shape Communicate
- CS Connect
- Sirona Connect, via Cerec Connect and the Cerec Portal
- iTero
- Medit
We have a dedicated page to help guide you through the process.
If you are using a scanner that’s not on the list, do not worry! We can connect with most intraoral scanners, so get in touch with our team and we can make this time.
Onboarding as a client with GoDigital Dental
Our onboarding begins when a practice gets in touch or connects via an intraoral scanner. This creates a direct digital link, allowing us to align on cases and ensure an efficient workflow from the start.
We then guide you through connecting your scanner or uploading files through our secure online system. We support a wide range of platforms, making it simple to send case data to the lab.
Next, we set up your account with key details and establish the best communication channels for you. This allows quick sharing of case information and updates with our team.
Each case is logged and reviewed before production begins, ensuring all information is accurate and complete to prevent delays and keep the process running smoothly.
We always put your needs and those of your patients first and are committed to delivering the best possible results for every case.

Digital Partnership FAQs
How can I build a strong working relationship with my dental lab?
A strong working relationship with your dental lab begins with mutual respect and a clear understanding of each other’s roles. Taking time to learn how the lab works, including their preferred processes and requirements, helps avoid confusion. Being organised with submissions and giving realistic deadlines also supports a more efficient partnership. Regularly checking in on cases and discussing any concerns early ensures problems are addressed quickly.
It is equally important to build rapport over time. Regular conversations, whether about ongoing cases or general feedback, help create trust and familiarity. Showing appreciation for the lab’s work and being approachable encourages collaboration, leading to a more positive and productive long-term relationship.
Which expectations need to be clarified at the start of a new partnership?
At the start of a new partnership, it is essential to set clear expectations. This includes agreeing on how you will communicate, how long cases will take, and what details are needed for each case. Dentists can share their preferred materials, shades, and level of detail, while the lab should explain its workflow and typical timelines. It is also useful to decide how cases will be sent and how questions will be answered.
Financial matters should also be discussed early. Cover pricing, payment terms, and policies for remakes or adjustments. Clarifying these points upfront helps prevent confusion and keeps the working relationship smooth and reliable.
Can a dental lab assist with planning for complex cases?
GoDigital Dental Lab can provide valuable support when planning complex cases by offering practical advice on elements like design and materials. We can also review digital scans or impressions and suggest solutions that improve fit, function, and aesthetics. Having previous experience with similar cases allows us to anticipate challenges and recommend ways to avoid common problems before production begins.
Collaboration with the lab can also help streamline the workflow. By discussing the case in advance, dentists and technicians can agree on the best approach and sequence of steps. This teamwork helps reduce errors, save time, and increase the likelihood of a successful patient outcome.
What information should I provide to the lab for each case to ensure the best results?
For the best results, it is important to give the lab all necessary information for each case. This should include a full prescription, correct impressions or digital scans, and the chosen shade. Sending clinical photos can be very helpful, especially for cosmetic work, as they show the lab the patient’s natural teeth and the look you want to achieve.
Any special instructions should also be shared, such as material choices, bite details, or exact fit requirements. If there are particular patient needs or unusual points, these should be advised at the start. Clear information helps the lab make restorations that work well and look as the patient expects.
Are dental lab pricing structures transparent?
GoDigital Dental Lab’s pricing structures are designed to be clear and understandable. We provide a price list for standard restorations, including materials and labour, so practices can see what each procedure costs. Some may also include additional charges for complex cases or special materials. Asking the lab for a full breakdown of costs helps avoid surprises and allows the dental team to plan budgets effectively.
It is also helpful to discuss policies for remakes, adjustments, or rush orders. Knowing these details in advance ensures transparency and helps build a fair and trustworthy working relationship with the lab.
Is it possible to visit a dental lab in person?
At GoDigital we welcome dentists and patients to see our facilities, meet the technicians, and understand the workflow. Visiting the lab can give dentists a clearer idea of how cases are handled and the care taken with each restoration.
In-person visits are also useful for discussing complex cases, material options, or specific techniques directly with the team. Observing the lab in action helps build trust and strengthen the working relationship. It can also provide opportunities for questions and feedback in real time.
GoDigital Dental Lab also offers online consultations or meetings to discuss you and your patients needs if you are further away or unable to travel to see us in person. We can arrange a Teams/Zoom call at a convenient time for you.
Where do most sticking points occur in a dental lab partnership, and how can they be prevented?
Most sticking points in a dental lab partnership happen when expectations are unclear or communication breaks down. Misunderstandings can occur over materials, shades, or the level of detail required for each case. Delays or missing information can also cause frustration and affect patient care.
These issues can be prevented by setting clear guidelines from the start. Sharing detailed instructions, confirming deadlines, and keeping an open line of communication helps avoid mistakes. Regular check-ins and feedback between the dental practice and lab ensure everyone stays on the same page. Planning ahead and being organised leads to a smoother, more reliable partnership.
How do labs structure their quality control procedures?
Our dental lab structures our quality control procedures to ensure every restoration meets high standards. We check cases at multiple stages, from the initial design to the final product. We inspect digital impressions or digital scans, confirm measurements, and review fit, function, and appearance before moving to the next stage.
Any issues found are addressed immediately, and corrections are made before delivery. Regular staff training and adherence to industry standards help maintain quality. These procedures give dental practices confidence that each restoration will be accurate, safe, and aesthetically correct.
Why should we consider switching to digital dentistry?
Switching to digital dentistry can improve efficiency and accuracy in a number of ways. Digital scans reduce the need for traditional impressions, making the process more comfortable for patients and faster for the team. Digital workflows also allow for precise planning and design, which helps reduce errors and remakes.
Files can be shared instantly, and cases can be reviewed and adjusted quickly. Over time, this can save time, reduce costs, and improve patient outcomes. Adopting digital dentistry also keeps your practice up to date with modern techniques and technology, supporting long-term growth and success.
